Collective Haul

Hi guys, I seem to have been shopping quite a bit lately, so I thought I'd do my first haul for you guys today! This will just be a mix of makeup, clothes and beauty related things that I've bought recently.

So, the first thing I've bought recently is the infamous lush 'Snow Fairy' shower gel. What more do I even need to say- its pink, and the packaging is just sooo damn cute! Snow Fairy is one of Lush's limited edition shower gels that only gets released around christmas time. It's a really sweet, girly scent, and luch say its supposed to smell of pear drops and candy floss. I bought the smallest bottle they do of this, just to make sure I like it first, and I'll also be able to use it for travel as its travel mini size. As you can see I've used this a fair bit so I might do a separate review for it :D

The next thing that I bought, also from Lush, is the candy mountain bubble bar. If your not familiar with the bubble bar's from lush, you crumble them under the tap when running your bath and it gives you heaps of sweetly scented bubbles. I think candy mountain smells very similar to snow fairy, and because I like those sort of scents, I had to get this. its also pink and glittery which just makes it all better, and i know that with bubble bars i can get more than one use out of them, which makes them great value!

In Lush, I also got 'Space girl' bath bomb. I've used space girl before, and its really lovely, it has grapefruit oil in it, but still smells quite sweet, but I love any bath bomb with citrus notes in. Lush have also changed the design of this bomb, it used to have purple glitter on it, but recently they've changes the design to red glitter, so I'm interested to see if it changes the colour of the water much or not. Also, for its size I think Lush have priced it quite well as its one of the cheapest bomb's but still is really lovely.

The next thing I did was I went to mac..this is never a good idea because I always see so many lovely things in there and never know what to get. Although I was kind of set that I wanted a mac lipstick, as I've watched many you tube videos and seen so many pictures and reviews that i knew that I wanted one. I talked to one of the staff in mac and I told her that I wanted a sort of nude or pink lipstick. She tried creme cup on me first, and as lovely as it looks, I didn't think it looked right on me as i have such dark lips, and creme cup is quite a bright nude/pink colour on my lips, I don't think It would be very wearable on me. I then had another look, and I saw this lovely pink shade, it was darker than creme cup, but not too bright. I tried it on and it seemed just right for a simple everyday look, I bought the shade 'Please Me' which is a lovely wearable rosy pink, with a matte finish. I really love the colour, I think the matte shades can have the tendency to be a bit drying, so I would always put lip balm on first.

It looks very dark in this picture, but really its a lovely pinky shade :-D

Also in mac, I'd heard a lot about one of the eye shadows 'Sumptuous Olive'  which is (you guessed it) a lovely olive green with brown and gold undertones. I'd seen it featured on youtube in a Zoella and Tanya Burr video and I thought it would be great for autumn. Basically, i wanted to step out of my eyeshadow neutrals box, (haha) and try something different that was autumnal, but not too bold, so this was a perfect colour for me.

To go alongside my eyeshadow, I was aware that if I wanted any of the colours to actually last all day and stay pigmented, I was going to need an eye primer or base to give my eyeshadow something to stick to. I bought the mac paint pot in 'Painterly' a lovely cream colour with slight pink undertones. I'm a big fan of cream eye shadows and really wish i had more of them, because combined with a darker shade in the crease, you can create a really simple eye look, thats quick and easy to apply, especially if its one of those days where you're in a rush to get ready. I pair this with sumptuous olive in my crease for a really subtle olive smoky eye, which you can also add a brown shade to give more depth of colour.

I've also bought a few other bits that I'm going to be reviewing soon, and I'm hoping to do kore regular posts for you guys too :) Have you guys bought anything nice lately? let me know in the comments :)

Me time

Everyone is in need of a little me time once in a while- even if they think they don't
 need it.

Me time is time you devote to doing something to help you relax or unwind, escaping from the taxing tasks of the week. Some people like to go on walks, others like to exercise, but me personally- I love to relax at home.

So what is my perfect idea of me time?

Well, especially in the winter, I like to have a lovely warm bath with one of my favourite lush bath bombs, or make a new discovery and try one I've never used before.

I love the fact that bath bombs often contain essential oils which can be really uplifting especially if you've had a bit of a grotty week. Recently, I decided to try "Avobath". It's lovely and citrusy, and contains lemongrass, rosewood and bergamot essential oils. It's featured ingredient is avocado, and this combined with olive oil helps to really soften your skin.

Avobath bath bomb- btw doesn't smell of avocado!

I either like to grab a nice book, or just take the time to think and relax.

Face mask's are another great essential in my Beauty me-time regime. I've used the 'Montagne Jeunesse' (hope I've spelled that right!!) face packs before and they're lovely. I prefer the clay based ones, purely because I prefer to wash off a face pack, I don't know, I feel like it just cleanses more easily. I've also tried the 'Mudd' face packs which are also quite nice, but I don't think I've found my fave face pack yet- comment below your recommendations!

I used this one the other day, it smelt lovely but I'm not a massive fan of peel-off mask's

Another thing I like to do is apply a hair mask to my hair- I've been using a herbal essences one at the moment, it smells amazing and my hair felt so soft and silky afterwards. Alongside face packs, hair masks only need to be used once a week to have an effect.

I also like to use a scrub- I'd probably use a scrub once or twice a week, its important to exfoliate any dead skin cells you have in order to reveal bright, and very soft skin. I've been using a St Ives scrub recently and it also smells of apricot, just like my hair mask.

Once I'm out the bath, its nice to but on some fluffy socks and pj's and sit on the sofa and watch the telly!

What are your guilty pleasures for me-time? Tell me below!

Topshop Autumn/Winter wishlist

Hi guys, as Autumn/ winter is approaching, I thought I'd share with you the items on my wishlist this season!

At the moment I'm really into lovely thick  wooly jumpers, I just think they're so versatile, you can pair them with cute denim skirts to dress them up, or with jeans or leggings for a more casual look.

These two pastel crop jumpers would look really cute with a denim skater skirt or High wasted jeans.

Knitted Fluffy Crop Jumper (Mint-£34)

Next on my wishlist is this pretty lacy vest. I think this would look lovely with jeans and a cardi, and would be lovely and elgant, but also quite casual. If  you wanted to dress it down though, you could pair it with a baggy fit hoody.

                                              White scallop lace vest- £12

I also found these Joni high-waisted jeans. I've wanted these really badly since summer but just haven't got round to getting them. They have a cute vintagey feel to them, which I really like. They're so versatile they'll go with pretty much anything. You could also roll up the cuffs to give a different look, or wear them with converse or vans and frilly socks.

MOTO vintage Joni jeans- £36

This next item i think would be an absolute autumn/winter essential- and this goes for any good coat really. I really like this khaki parka. It's got a lovely fur trimmed hood and soft fluffy lining, which is removable, so before it starts getting really cold, you can wear it as just another thin layer, but when it gets colder, just add in the lining to keep snug!

Borg lined parka jacket- £95

So that's my Topshop wishlist!I apologise for the background of the pictures being grey instead of white, I don't know how to fix that yet. I hope you guys enjoyed it, if you have any suggestions for my wishlist then comment below! Also, please comment below any future posts you would like to see, and also any questions you would like to ask me, featuring in my upcoming Q & A post!!
