Hi guys!
I heard a lot about Maybelline's 'Baby Lips' lip balms, but was really disappointed to find out that they weren't available in the UK, until quite recently! Since there's been quite a bit of hype about them, I wanted to give them a try, and was happy when Boots finally started selling them and I could get my hands on them.
What I like about the Baby Lips range is that they come in either a tinted or clear formulation, so they're perfect to put on to simply moisturise your lips or to tint them slightly if you want a bit of colour, whilst still being quite natural.
Now, when I was in boots, I didn't want to buy the whole lot of them at once as I'd never tried them, and didn't want to waste my money on something I wasn't going to use or like. I bought Baby Lips in 'Pink Punch' and 'Hydrate'.
Pink Punch is like its name suggests, Its tinted pink whilst still moisturizing your lips. I was actually quite surprised when I first applied it as it was much more pigmented than I expected. I thought it was going to be quite sheer and glossy, but the colour is actually really buildable. Out of the two I have at the moment, this ones great for day time and could also be worn for school. I found that you don't need to apply many coats just to get a light colour, but if you do it can turn your lips quite bright pink!
The second one I picked up, Hydrate, is a really great moisturizing balm. I really like this one because it deeply moisturises your lips and keeps them hydrated, but without leaving a horrible thick and sticky residue. I find Hydrate is great to apply just before going to bed at night as it locks in moisture to your lips overnight, so they're not too dry by the morning. Hydrate would also be great to apply before lipstick or lipgloss to stop your lips from getting chapped and creating a nice smooth base.
I hope you guys enjoyed my review on the first two baby lips that I decided to try. I hope to try more of them soon so if you have any reccomendations out of the other Baby Lips which ones are your favourite, then comment below! I'm planning to do a review of the others if and when I purchase them!
Bye! x
