Summer Haul

Hi guys, sorry its been so long! I feel like I owe you all a bit of an apology, if there's anyone still there! Ever since I've started sixth form life's been so busy, with work, and also I work on the weekends so unfortunately I haven't been managing to blog :(. Anyway, my exams are all over now *high fives the air* so to celebrate, yesterday I went and did a bit of shopping! Hope you enjoy hearing about what I bought :D

The first place I went to was boots, where I bought the real techniques powder brush by Nic and Sam Chapman. I've had their buffing brush for a really long while now, and its great for seamlessly blending in foundation and other base products, so I thought I'd try another brush from their range. The brush is quite large so makes dusting on powder quick and easy. Also from boots, I bought the Bourjois cream blush in the shade 'rose tender' after hearing about it on Chloe's blog, Gloss, Glitz and Glamour, and thought it would be the perfect shade and consistency to add a little flush of colour. Cream formulas also seem much nicer for summer as they're easier to blend, and add a nice dewy look to the skin.  I got the Burt's Bees tinted lip balm in 'Hibiscus', a really nice pink shade to add a hint of tint to my lips whilst still keeping them hydrated, which I thought would be really easy to throw on for sixth form, and easy to reapply during the day.

I then went to Tk Maxx, where in the beauty section if you know what to look for then you can find some really great deals! I spotted the Bliss foaming facial wash in a travel size, which I'd heard of before, and really wanted to try. I bought it in the travel size to try it out, and see if I like it. It smells really fruity and fresh and is really refreshing. Also in Tk Maxx I spotted this Stila smudge crayon in the shade smoke, which looks like a really wearable bronze that would look great just swept across the lid, to make a makeup look a bit more put together but with minimal effort. In Urban Outfitters I bought this really cute ball of pastel hair bobbles because whatever happens, I always mange to lose them! I thought if they were all in one place then it wouldn't be so easy for that to happen!

Then I went to Liz Earle, one of my absolute favourite skincare brands, wanting to pick up another one of their regular cleanse and polishes, but they had this set on offer. I'd seen it before but didn't want to pay £50 for the set, so when they told me it had been reduced to £35, I had to get it! These were created to celebrate LE's 20th birthday and comes with three limited edition fragrances for Liz Earle's classic. If you haven't heard of it before, the cleanse and polish is basically a makeup removing cream that when massaged into the skin dissolves a full face of makeup, which you remove by soaking a muslin cloth under warm water. I've been using this for around two years now, and it really is one of the best products to remove your makeup easily. I'd got a certain number of stamps on my loyalty card, and they gave me two freebies, their botanical shine shampoo, which I've never tried before, and their eyebright eye lotion.

From Primark I wanted to get  some new exercise gear as I've been getting more into fitness lately. I chose this sports bra/crop top because  I liked the blue contrast trim against the grey. To go with the top, I bought a pair of simple black exercise leggings which are really comfy and made of a really stretchy material. I also got a this cami top in a red and black boho sort of print which I thought was really cute as it had little pom poms on the trim.

Finally, I went into Space NK, the land of luxury beauty. I'd been looking for a new lighter base for going into summer as the weather gets warmer, and I'd heard lots of good reviews on the Nars offering, so I decided to get it. The lady matched me to the shade Light 1,  Finland which is a perfect match for my skin at the moment. I've been applying it with my hands and then blending it out with a buffing brush, and it gives a lovely radiant glow to the skin whilst still being fairly light coverage. I think it could be quite buildable but I've liked using it as a light base and just using concealer on any blemishes or redness.

Thank you guys for reading, and I hope you enjoyed this post! Sorry its been quite text heavy but well done if you made it to the end! I hope to try and blog more regularly so comment below if you have any requests for posts.
